Technical Sales Specialist - PPE

Reed is partnering with a long standing client of ours to recruit for a Technical Sales Specialist that will specialise in direct sales in PPE supplies. This is a great opportunity to join a busy and friendly team where genuine growth is possible.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Working collaboratively with the sales teams to support them in developing and delivering a plan which provides added value to current and potential customers and increases our market share of safety product sales
  • In conjunction with your allocated Sellers, maintain opportunity pipeline
  • Conduct regular area reviews with Sellers and National Sales Manager
  • Promoting relevant safety product promotions and campaigns 
  • Engaging key suppliers for technical and commercial support 
  • Providing an effortless customer experience 
  • Delivering regular product training to both internal and external sales staff 
  • Identifying potential service opportunities that align to customer needs
  • Building effective business relationships with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Ensuring customers are kept up to date with new product innovations and their associated benefits
  • Analysing sales trends to understand customer performance, demonstrating proactively how we have and can add value
  • Effective negotiation for a ‘win-win’ solution
  • Creating a plan to introduce benefits and cost reductions to customers
  • Carrying out customer surveys to ensure best practice and to highlight potential cost savings
  • Analysing and interpret reports and creating action plans to maximise revenue opportunity
  • Supporting the local sales teams on tenders

Experience and Knowledge:
Strong, broad Safety knowledge with direct PPE sales experience
Be focused on the needs of internal and external customers
Demonstrable track record as a problem solver within the Safety Industry
Health & Safety Qualification desirable but not essential

Hungry, driven and highly motivated to succeed
Tenacious and articulate 
Results orientated
Excellent verbal and written communication (inc. listening and negotiating skills)
Excellent IT skills including comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Highly flexible and self-motivated
Previous B2B field sales experience  
Valid Irish driving licence
