About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Technician to join our team. This role requires strong technical knowledge of plant and heavy machinery, as you will be working independently across various sites.
The ideal candidate is confident working alone, capable of diagnosing issues on-site, and committed to delivering high‑quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair a wide range of plant and heavy equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults independently
- Carry out on-site repairs and routine maintenance
- Respond to breakdowns and provide efficient technical support
- Complete service reports and maintenance records accurately
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and industry standards
- Manage your daily workload and travel between job sites as required
- Communicate effectively with customers and the support team
What We're Looking For
- Strong plant machinery knowledge is essential
- Proven experience as a Plant Technician / Heavy Plant Fitter / Mobile Engineer
- Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
- Confident diagnosing faults without supervision
- Full, clean driving licence
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Reliable, organised, and safety‑conscious
