Procurement Officer - 12 Month FTC - 3 days a week - South Dublin
Reed is partnering with a fantastic Charity in South Dublin to recruit for a Procurement Officer on a FTC contract for 12 months.
This role is Part Time – 3 days per week
Salary: €56,757 – €69,341

Role Overview:
The Finance Department works in partnership with our service colleagues to provide strategic and operational financial support and advice in achieving the organisational goals of providing high quality, support services.
Following a review of the Procurement activities this is a new role to the organisation and the primary responsibility of the post holder will be to work with senior leaders to manage the procurement function and to provide expert guidance and leadership on procurement activities.
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working as part of a team you will have responsibilities, including but not limited to, the following:
- Provide information and assistance to Finance Management and Staff on procurement, contract management and associated processes and procedures ensuring procurement compliance, developing best practice and promoting procurement awareness generally
- Manage procurement competitions from scoping to contract award including preparation of draft and complete tender and contract documentation to the highest standards
- Perform information recording and filing in respect of procurement and contracts
- Work with budget holders on Contract Management best practice, assisting the management and monitoring of deliverables/KPIs outlined in the contracts to ensure efficiency and maximize contract performance
- Proactively follow-up and closeout of issues and corrective actions
- Working as part of a team you will provide extensive knowledge and be subject matter expert in public sector procurement rules and best practice including above and below threshold Procurement/eTenders
- Be a lead in making improvements to systems and processes and will help prepare and implement our Procurement Plans and help formulate and deliver on the Corporate Procurement Plan
- Implement procurement practices that deliver value for money and reduce risk
- Ability to deal with people at all levels within the organisation
- Ability to prepare, edit and draft policies and procedures and reports
- Collection, monitoring, reviewing, and validating procurement and financial data (PR/PO, contracts register, spend reports etc)
- Supporting management and colleagues with reporting and data analysis requirements
- Collaborating with the Procurement, Finance, ICT and wider ATU teams on various projects and requirements
- Continually building their knowledge of procurement and enhance their analysis and advice to procurement decision-makers
- Assist with the supervision/ development of staff and coordination of training for management and staff
Other duties (Key Part of role)
Work collaboratively with colleagues and assist in general duties/projects across the Finance department as required.
Deal promptly with queries arising from staff.
Generation of reports and information from systems for management/colleagues/internal and external audit as required.
Participate proactively and constructively in new system implementations.
Participate in training and upskilling as required in order to further enhance and meet the growing demands/ requirements of the role.
Other ad hoc projects and duties as requested by the Financial Controller.
