Test and Run Technician
About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a Test and Run Technician to join our service centre team.
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out basic electrical and functional testing, as well as servicing and cleaning equipment returned from hire to ensure everything is safe, reliable and ready for re‑use. Duties also include updating service records through IT systems and identifying when spare parts are required so that repairs are efficient and cost effective.
As an important member of the team, you will work flexibly to support the wider service centre operation. This may involve maintaining a safe and tidy workshop, assisting engineers with assembling larger equipment, or supporting drivers with loading and unloading vehicles.

About You
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience maintaining mechanical or electrical equipment, along with:
- Basic electrical skills (12/24v)
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to work confidently with tools
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping abilities
- A flexible approach and willingness to support others where needed
- A strong commitment to health and safety standards
- Experience in the hire industry or an engineering environment (desirable)
