Senior Quantity Surveyor
A well‑established Irish main contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team. You’ll work on a portfolio of high‑value, prestigious projects across multiple sectors including industrial, healthcare, pharma, commercial, and education. This is an excellent opportunity to take a commercial lead role within a BIM‑enabled, progressive organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly Value Cost Reconciliation and forecasting
- Prepare and agree monthly payment claims
- Manage internal and external project cashflow
- Oversee change control, negotiation, and commercial tracking
- Assess delay/disruption impacts
- Act as commercial lead on assigned projects
- Liaise with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Administer contract notifications
- Procure subcontractors and suppliers; issue and manage subcontract documentation
- Negotiate subcontractor final accounts
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying
- Degree in QS, Construction/Engineering (with 8+ years QS experience), or QS Conversion MSc
- Strong contractual and commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience with RIAI, GCC, and bespoke contracts
- IT proficient; experience with Cubit, CostX, COINS beneficial
- Proven background delivering medium–large scale projects
- Full driver’s licence
- SafePass & Manual Handling desirable
