Legal PA/Secretary

We are seeking an experienced Legal PA/Secretary for an immediate start at our city centre offices. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of experience as a legal secretary, specifically with litigation experience. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our legal team, ensuring efficient operation through a variety of tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Dictation Typing: Handle dictation typing tasks efficiently.
  • Court Proceedings: Engross High, Circuit, and District Court proceedings.
  • Preparation for Counsel: Prepare briefs for Counsel meticulously.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients, doctors, engineers, and other professionals.
  • Interactions: Liaise with other solicitors and third parties as required.
  • Secretarial Support: Provide secretarial support and assistance to other solicitors in the practice.
  • File Management: Maintain client files, including scanning incoming post, photocopying, and filing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a legal secretary, with essential litigation experience.
  • Typing Skills: Accurate typing skills with a minimum speed of 60 words per minute.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Professionalism: Well-presented, reliable, and conscientious with a professional and flexible approach.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong time management, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Independence: Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
