Legal Executive - Conveyancing & Probate

Location: Dublin 1 (office based)
Reporting to: Conveyancing & Probate Solicitor

Overview

An established Dublin law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Executive to provide comprehensive support to its Conveyancing and Probate Solicitor. The successful candidate will assist with the management of residential and commercial property transactions, probate matters, and general client administration.

This role would suit a highly organised legal professional with previous experience in conveyancing and/or probate who can manage a varied caseload in a fast-paced practice.

Key Responsibilities

Conveyancing

  • Managing residential and commercial conveyancing files from instruction through to completion.
  • Drafting contracts, requisitions on title, closing documentation and related correspondence.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders, estate agents and other third parties.
  • Conducting Land Registry and Property Registration Authority searches.
  • Managing post-completion registrations and file closures.
  • Preparing file reports and maintaining accurate records.

Probate & Estate Administration

  • Assisting with probate and administration of estates.
  • Preparing probate applications and supporting documentation.
  • Corresponding with beneficiaries, financial institutions and relevant authorities.
  • Managing estate documentation and maintaining probate files.
  • Assisting with estate asset collection and administration processes.

General Legal Support

  • Diary and file management.
  • Drafting legal correspondence and documentation.
  • Managing client communications and queries.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal procedures.
  • Supporting fee earners with administrative and case management duties.

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Legal Executive, Legal Secretary or Probate/Conveyancing Executive.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish conveyancing procedures.
  • Experience handling probate and estate administration matters.
  • Excellent organisational and file management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.

Desirable

  • IILEX qualification or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Experience in a general practice environment.
  • Familiarity with PRAI registrations and Revenue probate procedures.
