Inventory Controller – West Dublin

Duties in the role:
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure inventory levels are optimised
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to identify discrepancies
- Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions
- Work closely with warehouse teams to streamline stock management processes.
- Analyse stock data to identify trends and improve forecasting accuracy.
- Implement and maintain best practices for stock control procedures
- Generate reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and inventory performance
- Support the finance team with stock valuations and reconciliations
- Use inventory management systems to track stock movements and update records
- Manage and reconcile the GRNI account to ensure accuracy and completeness of goods received and their associated invoices
- Monitor and analyse stock variances, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions
- Ensure accurate pricing of stock, including verification of price changes and communication with relevant stakeholders
- Perform timely and accurate stock bookings in the SAP system, maintaining integrity of inventory records
- Implement and oversee regular stock cycle counts to monitor inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Monitor and manage ageing stock, preparing reports on slow-moving or obsolete inventory and collaborating with relevant teams to take corrective action
- Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure seamless stock flow and accurate reporting
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory, providing relevant analysis and reports
- Identify opportunities to enhance stock control processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and experience required:
Proven experience in inventory management, stock control, or a related finance role
Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for stock booking and reporting
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
Solid understanding of GRNI processes, stock pricing, variance analysis, stock cycle counts, and ageing stock management
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
