HR Director

Location: Dublin (with responsibility for a second office location)

The Opportunity

A respected membership-based organisation is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead and develop its people function. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for driving strategic and operational HR initiatives across multiple locations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting organisational objectives through the delivery of best-practice human resource management, employee relations, talent management, performance development and employee wellbeing programmes.

This position offers an opportunity to influence organisational strategy while leading a high-quality HR service in a values-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the organisation's HR strategy and people agenda.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, industrial relations and workplace issues.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection and workforce planning activities.
  • Drive performance management and employee development initiatives.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Support organisational change and continuous improvement projects.
  • Promote employee wellbeing, engagement and positive workplace culture.
  • Build effective relationships with senior leaders, employees and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies.
  • Lead HR projects and policy development initiatives across the organisation.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent professional accreditation).
  • Significant HR leadership experience, including experience at HR Business Partner level or above.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations and industrial relations practices.
  • Proven experience managing complex workplace and contractual matters.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong research, policy development and project management capabilities.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong judgement, resilience and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
