Finance and Operations Manager – Dublin

Duties in the role:
Finance –
- Manage the organisation's financial planning and budgeting processes, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support strategic objectives, programme delivery, and operational requirements
- Lead and oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, payroll, expenses, and transactional activities, ensuring robust financial controls and accurate record-keeping
- Provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports and analysis to the CEO, Board, management team, and other key stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making across the organisation
- Develop and monitor annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and long-term financial plans in collaboration with the CEO, management team, and Board
- Ensure the preparation and timely submission of statutory financial statements and annual reports, maintaining compliance with Irish charity legislation, financial regulations, and the Charities SORP framework
- Hold overall responsibility for the financial management of the EUPP6 and Gates Foundation-funded projects, including budget oversight, financial monitoring, interim and final donor reporting, collation of supporting documentation, and liaison with project partners on financial matters
- Establish, review, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with best practice standards and regulatory requirements
- Act as the primary financial contact for members, institutional funders, and grant-making bodies, managing matters relating to grants, fees, reporting, and financial compliance
Governance & Operations –
- Ensure full compliance with Irish charity law, taxation requirements, and all relevant regulatory obligations, including the timely completion of statutory filings and notifications with the Companies Registration Office (CRO), Charities Regulatory Authority (CRA), and other governing bodies
- Maintain and oversee the organisation's risk management framework and risk register, proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial, operational, and strategic risks
- Support the Board of Trustees and its committees in upholding strong governance practices, effective decision-making, and robust financial oversight
- Coordinate and administer meetings of the General Assembly, Board, and sub-committees, ensuring accurate minutes, comprehensive documentation, and timely distribution of meeting materials
- Maintain all statutory and governance records, including board and committee minutes, member and director registers, declarations of interest, and other corporate records in accordance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements
- Manage the due diligence process for membership applications in partnership with the Head of Membership Engagement, ensuring accurate assessment and compliance with membership criteria
- Lead the development and management of organisational systems and information processes, driving the effective adoption of new technologies, digital infrastructure, and AI-enabled solutions to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency
