Ireland's leading public interest and human rights law practice based in Dublin, is seeking a Criminal Defence Solicitor to join their dynamic team. This role is within their circuit and superior court section, offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a highly respected firm.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Represent clients in criminal defence cases across circuit and superior courts.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of solicitors and barristers to develop defence strategies.
  • Manage case files, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and well-organized.
  • Meet with clients to discuss and advise on their legal rights and options.
  • Prepare for and attend court proceedings, advocating effectively on behalf of clients.
  • Ensure all legal practices comply with regulatory and ethical standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with experience in criminal defence law.
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines and manage multiple cases.
  • Strong team player with the ability to also work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly explaining legal concepts to clients.
  • Proven record in client care, demonstrating a commitment to prioritizing client needs.
  • Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude and a strong work ethic.
