A leading equipment solutions provider is seeking a skilled Mobile Mechanical Technician to join its growing construction division.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working independently, diagnosing faults and maintaining a wide range of plant and equipment directly at customer sites.
The Role
As a Mobile Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure maximum reliability, safety and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out equipment servicing, maintenance and repairs on-site
- Completing pre-hire inspections and safety checks
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
- Ensuring equipment remains compliant, safe and ready for use
- Delivering excellent customer service while representing the business in the field
- Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
About You
We're interested in hearing from candidates who have:
- Experience within plant hire, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, powered access, HGVs, commercial vehicles or a similar engineering environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
- A full UK driving licence
