Join our client, a dynamic and busy litigation practice specialising in multi-party actions, personal injury, and medical negligence proceedings. They are currently expanding the team and seeking a talented Litigation Solicitor to join their dedicated Medical Negligence Team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-performing, collaborative legal environment and provide profound insights to help clients achieve justice.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Handle High Court medical negligence litigation cases.
- Manage large scale discovery processes, leveraging your experience to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Draft legal documents with precision and advocate for clients' needs effectively.
- Negotiate settlements and other agreements in a manner that aligns with client interests and legal standards.
- Instruct and liaise with medical and other experts to gather necessary evidence and insights for cases.
- Analyse case materials meticulously to ensure thorough preparation and attention to detail.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring communication is clear, professional, and supportive.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet case goals and client expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in High Court medical negligence litigation.
- Experience with large scale discovery is advantageous.
- Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to instruct and liaise effectively with various experts.
- Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and work collaboratively.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Genuine interest in plaintiff welfare.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office; experience with Key House case management software is desirable.
