Legal Assistant / Legal Support Executive

Location: Dublin 2 (Office Based)

About the Firm

Our client is a well-established four-solicitor practice based in Dublin 2. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join their team and provide comprehensive support across a broad range of legal matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in a general practice environment who enjoys a varied workload and working closely with solicitors, clients and external stakeholders.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day legal and administrative support to four solicitors across a range of practice areas including conveyancing, probate, litigation, family law and general practice matters.

The role requires a highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail, strong client-facing skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing legal and administrative support to a team of four solicitors
  • Drafting, formatting and preparing legal correspondence and documentation
  • Managing client files from opening through to closure
  • Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, financial institutions and third parties
  • Diary management, scheduling meetings and coordinating appointments
  • Preparing briefs and documentation for court appearances and client meetings
  • Assisting with conveyancing, probate and litigation files
  • Managing incoming calls, emails and client queries
  • Filing, scanning and document management
  • Assisting with billing, invoicing and general office administration
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with Law Society requirements

Candidate Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or Legal Support role within an Irish general practice firm
  • Exposure to conveyancing, probate, litigation and/or family law matters
  • Strong knowledge of legal administrative procedures and file management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and legal case management systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
  • Professional, flexible and client-focused approach
