Legal Secretary

Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support their busy and friendly Conveyancing Team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in managing high-volume workloads and possesses strong administrative skills.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage a high-volume, fast-moving workload within the Conveyancing team.
  • Assist with the administration functions, including taking instructions and liaising with clients.
  • Prepare legal documents, closings, and assist with Stamp Duty and Registrations.
  • Draft correspondence and legal documents.
  • Handle incoming telephone calls from solicitors and clients efficiently.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient handling of confidential data.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a law firm, with previous experience in Conveyancing highly advantageous.
  • Calm, professional, and approachable demeanor.
  • Excellent administrative skills, demonstrating an eye for detail and an ability to organise, manage, and prioritise work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong desire to learn.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with case management systems (Keyhouse is an advantage).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
