Accounts Assistant - North Dublin

Reed is partnering with a client we have worked with successfully in the past to recruit for an Accounts Assistant to join a very busy Finance department. Please read below for more details.

* Experience with Access Dimensions or similar ERP systems advantageous

Duties in the role:

  • Maintenance of Cash Book and posting of bank transactions
  • Reconciliation of Bank Accounts (EUR/USD/GBP/AIBCF)
  • Posting of Credit Card transactions and reconciliation of accounts, ensuring VAT is claimed where applicable
  • Reconciliation of Petty Cash
  • Reconciliation of VAT transactions and preparing VAT Return
  • Preparation and posting of weekly/monthly Payroll Journals
  • Reconciliation of PAYE/PRSI monthly and filing same on ROS
  • Assisting with month and year-end
  • Balance Sheet Control Account reconciliation at month-end
  • Support HOF in preparation for and participation of annual financial audit
  • Support to the wider finance, purchasing and sales teams as and when required
  • Invoice processing & payment allocation
  • Matching POs to supplier invoices and related tasks
  • Assistance in the preparing of weekly payment runs
  • Dealing with external suppliers and internal account queries
  • Reconciliation of Supplier Accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Check the validity of requests received to amend supplier bank details
  • Payroll coordination with outsourced provider (weekly & monthly)
  • Processing of employee expenses claims
  • Preparation of pension scheme contributions for upload to pension company
  • Filing and data management
  • Compliance reporting: CSO, WEEE, Repak, Intrastat, VIES
