Legal Executive / Legal Secretary

An established and growing legal practice in West Dublin is seeking an experienced Legal Executive / Legal Secretary to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised legal professional who enjoys working in a collaborative and supportive environment and is looking to further develop their career within a busy practice.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide administrative and legal support to solicitors and will play a key role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital dictation and audio typing.
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients and responding to enquiries.
  • Preparing correspondence, legal documentation, briefs, and other legal materials.
  • Managing legal files, including filing, scanning, proofreading, and updating records.
  • Maintaining and updating precedent documents and templates.
  • Supporting compliance processes and ensuring adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, agents, public bodies, and other stakeholders regarding information requests and queries.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a legal support role within a solicitor's practice.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using document management and/or case management systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience working in a solicitor's office is essential.
  • This position is suited to experienced legal support professionals and is not intended as a graduate, trainee, or FE1 entry-level opportunity.
