Reed Recruitment has taken on a Field Sales role with a very successful client of ours. We want to recruit an Account Manager to develop the Munster region for their fantastic engineering consumable product lines. Please read on for a chance to be a part of a great team.

Skills & Experienced Required:
Previous area/field sales experienced is essential, with a demonstrable sales success record.
Experience gained within the Engineering/Industrial Supplies or MRO market is highly desirable.
A full and valid driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities of the Role :

  • Be the primary point of contact for our customers within your region; we’ll give you the freedom to be the difference.
  • Create and execute plan to develop relevant product groups for individual sites within account portfolio.
  • Set appropriate call plan.
  • Understand competitors in the market within individual customers.
  • Promote relevant product campaigns and discounts.
  • Grow and maintain existing contracts, and accounts by securing new business contracts.
  • Use your sales experience to develop new business relationships.
  • Work closely with our in-house technical experts to help you provide tailored solutions. 
  • Achieve defined sales targets whilst maintaining profitability levels.
  • Ensure customers are aware of the company’s extensive product range and identifying leads for further business opportunities.
  • To continuously seek new customers in the defined sales area and to pass on to the National Sales Manager, information gained about existing or potential customers in other sales areas.
  • To analyse current and potential markets for the Company’s products and services.
  • To manage the region efficiently and to utilise the time effectively to achieve the maximum results possible.
  • To agree with the National Sale Manager a 12 monthly Sales Target Objective for the defined area and to strive to achieve this Objective.
  • To operate an effective Call Plan and to accurately record all necessary information.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Excellent communications skills (inc. verbal, written, listening, commercial and negotiating skills)
  • Excellent IT skills including comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint,
  • Prior experience with Salesforce and Power BI (advantageous)
  • Prior experience in account management and/or regional sales
  • Gross margin & gross profit awareness.
  • Account management and relationship building
  • Distribution Industry experience
  • B2B sales experience
