Hours: Mon–Thurs 8am–5pm, Fri 8am–3pm

A leading provider of off‑site prefabricated solutions for the commercial M&E sector across Ireland and the UK is seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Officer to support operations across Ireland and Great Britain. The Opportunity
As Senior Health & Safety Officer, you will play a key role in driving a positive safety culture across office, fabrication, and site environments. Working closely with site teams, management, and clients, you will influence safe behaviours, strengthen HSE systems, and lead continuous improvement across multiple locations.
You will also support and mentor HSE team members, ensuring consistent high standards, robust compliance, and effective incident prevention strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional HSE advice and support across all business units and project sites.
- Build strong working relationships at all levels and promote a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.
- Lead and support HSE Officers and Administrators in their roles and development.
- Create, review and maintain RAMS and safe systems of work, ensuring effective implementation.
- Carry out site, workshop and equipment inspections and maintain relevant documentation.
- Lead incident and accident investigations, identifying corrective and preventative actions.
- Participate in site walks, daily briefs and client meetings as required.
- Deliver toolbox talks and site inductions.
- Manage and record emergency preparedness activities across company locations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, industry standards, and internal management systems.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with clients, contractors and colleagues.
- Support HSE projects and any additional duties as required by management.
Essential Criteria
- NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- Minimum 3 years’ HSE experience
- Experience in new build and/or M&E construction environments
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and standards
- Experience developing complex RAMS
- Health & safety auditing experience
- Proven incident/accident investigation capability
- Excellent communication, organisational and reporting skills
- Confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours and influence change
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to travel across Ireland and the UK
- Full Driving Licence
Desirable Criteria
- Chartered IOSH membership (or working towards)
- NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards)
- Knowledge of ISO standards (45001, 9001, 14001)
- ISO internal auditing qualification
- Appointed Person qualification
- Train‑the‑Trainer certification
