Security Operations Manager
Reed is assisting our client to recruit for a Security Operations Manager. Our client is a professional security guarding service, trusted by a large and diverse client base including State and semi-state organisations, multinationals, corporate offices and property management companies.
Duties in the role:
- Lead and manage our security division
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality guarding services across all client locations
- Maintain full compliance with all licensing requirements, Health & Safety standards and internal operating procedures
- Drive performance through coaching, mentoring, structured feedback and ongoing development
- Manage recruitment, onboarding and training of new security personnel
- Conduct site audits, welfare visits and performance assessments to ensure continuous improvement and staff engagement
- Act as primary operational contact for clients, building strong relationships based on reliability, responsiveness and service excellence
- Address client needs proactively, resolving issues quickly and professionally
- Support contract mobilisation, scheduling, resource allocation and adherence to SLAs
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum 3 - 5 years’ operational leadership experience in the security guarding industry
Strong understanding of rostering, site coverage, incident response and regulatory compliance in a security environment
Proven ability to lead, motivate and support frontline officers
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Commercial awareness with the ability to balance service quality and cost efficiencies
Self-driven, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment
This position requires occasional out-of-hours availability to support operational needs or urgent client requests
