Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at a busy and vibrant hotel in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and supporting departmental teams. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily hotel operations across all departments including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance.
  • Act as the main point of contact for guests, handling queries, complaints, and special requests professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
  • Support and motivate staff to achieve performance targets and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational standards are met.
  • Manage shift handovers and ensure effective communication between departments.
  • Assist in training and development of team members.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and hotel policies.
  • Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or duty management role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Good understanding of hotel operations and systems (e.g., PMS, POS).
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • A professional and proactive approach to work.
  • Knowledge of health & safety and fire safety procedures.
