Litigation Legal Secretary

Join a mid-sized law firm in the heart of Cork City as a Litigation Legal Secretary. This role involves acting as a Legal Executive/Personal Assistant to the head of litigation, providing both administrative and secretarial support.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • File Management: Open, close, and maintain client files efficiently.
  • Document Management: Handle high volumes of typing, including letters and other legal documentation; amend documents as required.
  • Court Administration: Prepare court documents and briefs, liaising with counsel as necessary.
  • General Administration: Perform routine office tasks such as filing, photocopying, and answering phone calls.
  • Invoice Management: Oversee the preparation and management of invoices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Legal Secretary within Litigation.
  • Familiarity with Keyhouse or other computerised case management systems is desirable.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong IT and systems skills.
  • Independent in managing time and using initiative.
