Role Overview

The position involves providing IT support across multiple sites, including offices, ports, and vessels. The role requires working at height, using power tools, operating in challenging environments, and participating in an on‑call rota for out‑of‑hours support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver IT support to users across various locations, both onsite and remotely.
  • Install, configure, and maintain PCs, laptops, software, CCTV systems, access control, networking, and telephony equipment.
  • Manage and resolve IT support tickets, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems via phone, in person, or remotely.
  • Support network and server environments across all sites.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for systems, projects, and equipment.
  • Assist with user training and general IT operations.
  • Work safely at all times and comply with relevant Health & Safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Perform other duties within capability as required.

Candidate Profile

  • Ideally qualified to CompTIA A+ (or similar).
  • Preferably holds IPAF 3a/3b certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Reliable, professional, and able to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, locations, and travel.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must hold a valid driving licence.
