Supervisory Customs Broker

Reed has the pleasure of recruiting for a Supervisory Customs Broker to join our client's busy and growing global freight operation. Please read on for more details:

Duties in the role:

• Ensure the customs team are accurate on all import and export customs declarations
• Also ensure that the team remains compliant on customs classification & clearance - SAD/AIS/GMP/PBN
• Manage and supervise the customs clearance team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
• Liaise and work with customs authorities, brokers, freight forwarders.
• Resolve customs-related issues, such as customs holds, examinations and inquiries.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customs authorities and other government agencies involved in the customs clearance process.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the customs clearance process, and implement process improvements as necessary.
• Produce required reports and documentation to customs authorities and management.
• Liaise with all departments in the business - purchasing, finance etc., to ensure smooth coordination of activities.
