Our client, a market leader of email and data security services are seeking a Customer Technical Support candidate to join their team. The business in based in Sandyford, Dublin 18.

€35,000 - €38,000

Annual leave – 20 days

Fully office based, no remote working

The company supports indigenous and international customers with all their Cyber security needs. They are searching for an enthusiastic, career-minded technical support professional to join our excellent customer support team. The Customer Technical Support candidate is responsible for providing front line product and technical customer support across the full range of email security products.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, analysis, and problem solving
  • First point of contact for customer issues
  • Telephone, email, ticket system support
  • Set-up and configuration of new email accounts
  • Develop domain expertise in the areas of Email, DNS, Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus, Anti-Phishing
  • Promote and educate clients regarding products and services
  • Manage customer communications through email, tickets, and phone as part of a team
  • Provide out-of-hours support as part of a team

Experience & Attributes required

  • 2 years minimum experience in an IT customer technical support position showing an ability to trouble shoot and diagnose problems
  • Knowledge of email transport, protocols and administration would be of benefit
  • Understanding of Networking and internet technologies
  • Understanding of DNS & MX Records
  • Analytical mind and strong desire to learn
  • Support Desk experience & Customer Service experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with ticketing systems and their use
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience of Microsoft suite of products ideal but not necessity
  • Experience of Active Directory ideal but not necessity
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • Effective time management skills
  • Excellent Telephone manner
