Litigation Legal Executive/Secretary

Dublin West

 

Duties:

Opening files and sending terms of engagement to clients;
Assisting solicitors with the progression of proceedings in the District, Circuit and High Court;
Processing Injuries Board Applications;
Inputting court and motion dates in a central diary and monitoring same;
Logging medical records received in a central registrar;
Preparing briefs for counsel and expert witnesses;
Arranging medical appointments;
Dealing with phone calls in a prompt and efficient manner;
Liaising with clients, solicitors, counsel, expert witnesses and other third parties in preparation of cases for hearing;
Preparation of Notices of Motion and other papers for filing in the Courts Office;
Setting proceedings down for hearing;
Attending the Courts Office for the purpose of filing pleadings and other documents;
Dealing with client queries, processing payments and the delivery of invoices to clients.


Experience:

Experience in a similar role is essential;
Excellent knowledge of the courts practices and procedures;
Excellent communication and organisational skills;
Familiarity with Keyhouse is a distinct advantage, but not essential;
Familiarity with the Court Services is of distinct benefit.
