Senior Associate - Employment Law

Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Associate with experience in employment law. Applications are invited from Solicitors at Associate level with 6+ years’ experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment law. Experience in M&A would also be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be a solutions driven problem solver with a strong work ethic and legal technical skills who will be given support to grow and develop their skills and career. The team is a fun and positive environment, and we are looking for someone to match that.

About the role:
- Drafting a full range of employment contracts and handbooks together with third party contracts for services, outsourcing arrangements, employment agency contracts and bespoke policies.
- Advices in relation to compensation and benefits-contractual terms, bonus and incentive schemes, “good” and “bad” leaver provisions.
- Advices in relation to confidentiality and know-how protection.
- Advices in relation to day-to-day HR procedures including redundancies, disciplinary matters and terminations, long term absences, negotiation of settlement agreements, bullying and harassment complaints and grievance complaints.
- Managing contentious matters such as injunctions and WRC hearings and mediations.
- Assisting our corporate colleagues with employment related due diligence, negotiation of warranties and indemnities, completion deliverables and TUPE.
- Drafting articles and updates and assisting with webinars and client training on various policies, procedures and legislation.
- Corporate immigration advices to include work permit and trusted partner applications.
- Occasional Continuing Professional Development presentations to the wider firm on topics of employment law expertise.
About the candidate:
- A minimum of 6+ years’ experience in employment law.
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse and global business, maintaining close working relationships with stakeholders, clients, and business partners.
- Strong technical and drafting skills.
- The ability to demonstrate clear communication skills with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
- Leadership skills in working with junior members of the team.
