Job Summary: Relationship Manager – GP Engagement

This role focuses on building and maintaining strong professional relationships with General Practitioners (GPs) and other healthcare referrers to increase patient referrals. The Relationship Manager will serve as the primary liaison between GPs and the healthcare provider, promoting services and ensuring a smooth referral experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain effective relationships with GPs, practice managers, and primary care teams across the Republic of Ireland.
  • Promote a wide range of healthcare services to drive patient referrals.
  • Identify and engage new referral sources, including newly established or expanding GP practices.
  • Act as a communication bridge between referring clinicians and internal departments to ensure a seamless referral process and excellent patient experience.
  • Provide regular updates to GP practices on new consultants, services, and treatment pathways.
  • Organise and attend practice visits, CPD events, and information sessions to build trust and awareness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather GP feedback and support service improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of engagement activities and report on referral trends and relationship metrics.
  • Meet KPIs related to relationship development and referral growth.
  • Represent the organisation at healthcare events, conferences, and seminars.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Essential:

    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a confident, professional demeanor.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in relationship management or sales.
    • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently across multiple sites.
    • Commercial awareness and ability to identify referral growth opportunities.
    • Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
    • Excellent customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure.
    • Self-motivated, intuitive, and capable of working both independently and in a team.
  • Desirable:

    • Degree-level education (or 3+ years of relevant sales/business development experience if not).
    • Experience engaging with GPs, practice staff, or clinical stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of the healthcare/medical industry.
    • Experience using Salesforce CRM.
    • Outstanding verbal articulation and personable approach.

Additional Information:

  • The role requires regular travel; candidates must have access to a personal vehicle. Business mileage will be reimbursed at the prevailing rate.
