We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join our clients Team. This is a full-time permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the MEP specifications and build procurement packages.
- Involvement in all aspects of the preconstruction stage to include health and safety, technical submissions, construction drawing production, prefabrication, building control submissions and the management of the projects commissioning phase.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including client design teams, main contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors, to support electrical engineering requirements.
- Review electrical IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the scope and technical requirements of project works.
- Collaborate with BIM teams to transform electrical design information into installation drawings while ensuring compliance with project specifications and prioritizing scheduling needs.
- Align engineering activities with the overall project schedule, supporting construction milestones, including procurement and installation phases.
- Prepare and submit technical documentation, tracking approvals for electrical components and systems.
- Engage with vendors to secure technical support and explore value engineering solutions to optimize electrical performance.
- Manage material procurement, producing material take-offs based on Engineering Materials Reports (EMR) and identifying lead times for key electrical components.
- Coordinate equipment procurement, tracking delivery timelines to ensure materials arrive on-site as per project requirements.
- Ensure electrical installations adhere to project specifications and the quality assurance plan, including predefined benchmarking standards.
- Conduct site audits to verify proper processes and adherence to industry regulations and quality standards.
- Define and finalize project completion criteria, preparing necessary close-out documentation for electrical systems.
- Prepare subcontractor and supplier tender packages, working alongside the project quantity surveyor (QS) to ensure accurate procurement.
- Manage electrical work packs from development to implementation and final handover.
- Oversee BIM priorities, including the generation and release of isometric electrical drawings.
- Communicate with clients, preparing reports and presentations for directors and other relevant stakeholders.
- Schedule meetings and training sessions to ensure project teams remain aligned on engineering requirements.
- Coordinate with client project management teams and contractors to ensure electrical designs meet regulatory and legal compliance standards.
- Provide technical support to construction teams during the execution phase, troubleshooting electrical challenges and ensuring best practices are followed.
Skills & Education Required
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Electrical Engineering Qualification.
- Demonstrated capability in construction delivery.
- IT proficient, including CAD & MS Office.
- Exceptional time management skills, for both prioritising workload and meeting strict deadlines.
- QHSE knowledge.
