Senior Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Administrator to play a key leadership role within our organisation. This is a senior-level position requiring strong people management skills, excellent organisational capability, and the ability to oversee high‑volume, detail‑sensitive administrative functions. The successful candidate will need to have experience leading a small team, ensure the smooth running of departmental operations, and support senior officials through high‑quality administrative, research, and coordination work.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
People Management
- Oversee day‑to‑day workload management, allocation of duties, and overall workflow efficiency.
- Manage annual leave planning, attendance, and provide day‑to‑day guidance and support.
- Foster a collaborative, solutions‑focused working environment.
Administrative Oversight
- Maintain and oversee an up‑to‑date and accurate case database.
- Ensure effective filing systems for all casework, including correspondence, submissions, and documentation.
- Manage updates to internal membership databases as required.
- Organise and coordinate meetings, both internal and external.
- Provide high‑level diary and schedule management for senior officials.
Data Protection & Retention
- Conduct regular reviews of both manual and electronic data held within the section.
- Ensure timely destruction of data in line with organisational data retention policies.
- Liaise with the Data Protection Officer, including responding to subject access requests where required.
Writing & Documentation
- Research, draft, format, and edit correspondence and submissions to a professional standard.
- Prepare materials for meetings, briefings, and hearings.
- Compile and submit case briefs for legal review when necessary.
Research & Information Management
- Source accurate, reliable information to support casework and departmental activities.
- Regularly monitor relevant websites and publications to maintain up‑to‑date sector knowledge.
Other Responsibilities
- Prepare reports and manage departmental projects under the direction of senior leadership.
- Undertake additional duties as required within the section or elsewhere in the organisation.
