Reed HR are currently working alongside a large well known Educational Establishment based in South East London who are recruiting for an experienced UKVI Compliance Officer for 12 months on a fixed term contract.
The successful applicant will be based working from home initially, but the role may eventually involve the applicant travelling to different sites around London.
As a member of the HR Services Team, the Senior UKVI Compliance Officer will play a crucial role in enabling the business to recruit and employ staff ensuring full compliance with UKVI regulations throughout the employee lifecycle.
This new post will take the lead in shaping the UKVI provision within HR and will have line management responsibility for the UKVI Compliance Officer. You will work closely with HR Services colleagues and be a member of the HR Services Team Leader group.
You will forge a close working relationship with the Student Visa Compliance Team and ensure that a joined-up approach is taken when employing student staff within the establishment.
You will take a lead in all HR UKVI reporting, the sponsorship process for successful candidates to obtain their visa, the visa extension process for existing employees, overseeing regular audits, maintaining records and ensuring compliance at all times.
Working closely with the Head of HR Services, you will oversee the implementation and embedding of the necessary changes to HR policy and process as per the introduction of the Points Based system from January 2021. This role will need to manage the transition from the existing Tier 2 system and ensure compliance is maintained across both schemes. You will be expected to roll out updates and develop training for staff across the business.
Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate will have to have a solid understanding of UKVI requirements relating to visa sponsorship including the recent changes introduced by the Home Office. You will also have a strong generalist HR background. You will be a pro-active, committed individual who wants to make a difference and enhance the HR Services provision.
Due to the nature of this role, and the fact that it will require Home Office clearance to access the UKVI Sponsor Management System, unfortunately we are unable to consider any applicant who will require a Certificate of Sponsorship under Tier 2 of the Points Based Immigration System. The successful applicant will be required to undertake a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
