The main purpose of this role is to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people with the most complex and acute needs, including those at risk of serious harm and that the needs of children and their parents/carers are professionally assessed. The vacancy requires you to investigate, evaluate and analyse need, demonstrating clarity of assessment and reliability of information. You will be responsible for case management compliance as per the Council's policies and procedures. Being a Social Worker for Children Services will involve submitting written reports when required, including statements and care plans for care proceedings in County and High Courts.

• Be degree qualified in Social Work
• Be up to date with current legislation/policy/procedures around child protection
• Able to work under pressure, excellent organisational ability
• Have knowledge/understanding of using appropriate assessment tools and research
• Have an enhanced DBS and
• Be HCPC registered
