My highly prestigious client based in the South Lakes, are currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

As a HRBP, you will be supporting the Head of HR with the development and implementation of the HR strategy across the business, with the focus on the organisation being a ‘great place to work’. Partnering with the SMT, key stakeholders and the wider HR team to shape, develop and deliver effective HR plans and solutions to support the organisations goals.

The successful candidate will be expected to use their business acumen, and evidence based practice to act as a positive disruptor for change, with their roles and responsibilities including the following: 

  • Working closely with the SMT to enhance workforce performance, foster and nurture strategic people enablers such as talent, leadership and culture to deliver the organisational goals
  • Act as the lead on Learning and Engagement and focus on an eLearning and a blended learning approach
  • Leading on the development of internal engagement and communications
  • Using MI to gain insights to capability gaps and learning needs and demonstrate the value of learning interventions by evaluating their impact on business performance
  • Provide People advice and guidance to managers and colleagues on People matters, provide support on complex casework, performance, attendance, and ER issues
  • To design and deliver high impact solutions that meet the needs of the business
  • To participate in relevant projects, leading and championing as appropriate
  • To keep up to date with external trends and best practice
  • To coach and build the capability of managers to anticipate and pre-empt organisational issues
  • To lead change positively and be adaptable in taking on new challenges to meet the ever changing needs of the business
  • To manage, motivate, coach and provide hands on leadership and guidance to your team
  • To conduct reviews, regular meetings and one to ones and make sure appropriate training and development is supported and all documentation is administered, produced and reviewed in a timely manner
  • To handle at all levels, investigations and disciplinary/grievance and appeal procedures in line with company policy

The successful candidate will:

  • Ideally be MCIPD qualified or have the equivalent professional experience  
  • Have a ‘customer first’ mindset, with the ability to put the customer and business strategy at the heart of all decision making
  • Have strong ER skills underpinned by comprehensive knowledge of employment law
  • Be able to take the initiative to drive action and be responsible for the consequences of decisions made
  • Be able to communicate challenges, and influence a variety of stakeholders effectively
  • Have the ability to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts
  • Have the ability to transform proposal and ideas into a practical reality
  • Ideally have experience within a multi-site HR role
  • Need to hold a valid driver’s license due to the location of the office, alongside the multi-site travel that will be involved – a hire / pool car can be provided by the business for any travel involved from site to site
  • Ideally have a passion for and experience with Learning and Development
  • Be a skilled IT user including the MS Office Suite and HR systems
