Our client based in East London, is a global and rapidly growing Design and Build SME who have an urgent need for a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to come on board and run their local and international remit from their funky East London head office. They are happy to pay up to £55,000 for the right candidate and would love to have an immediately available candidate for this role but will wait for the right one.
What does the role entail?
You will be the face of Health and Safety for this company, supporting on large scale project and huge global live events. You will have a General NEBOSH certificate and ideally have your Health and Safety diploma as well as certificate in Construction.
You will create, develop and implement all policies and procedures, as well as add value to anything existing, ensuring the company is compliant and safe for all workers and employees. You will work closely with the project team, as well as handle all training for the global company, amongst other responsibilities.
You will live and breathe all things Health and Safety and be truly passionate about your chosen path. You will have a proven track record in management roles and be comfortable and experienced in adding value to large scale projects of this nature.
What skills will you have?
You will have worked for SMEs or start-ups previously ideally within the Design, Build and Events sector, but ideally your background will be in Live Events, within Health and Safety. You will be diplomatic and pragmatic, while at the same time being energetic and proactive. You will have a global mindset and be capable of big picture thinking.
To be considered for this HSE manager role you will be comfortable in a senior position where you will often have to manage conflicting priorities, where you will have demonstrated operational efficiency as well as strong strategical thinking.
On top of this you will be at ease working in a fast paced, dynamic and ever changing environment where you can deliver at times under pressure, as well as being a great communicator at all levels, and truly understand the ecosystem.
