An innovative and engaging organisation based in South Oxfordshire, have a newly created position for a Finance Project Analyst due to their continued success and ongoing growth. This position will provide detailed management reporting to Project Managers and will act as a key business partner to the wider business. 

The role is largely suited to a Part-Qualified individual, seeking further experience at management accounting and reporting level, or a candidate who has existing analytical and business partnering experience, looking to expand their skillset. 

 


Responsibilities will include: 

Financial management of various projects, preparing P&L and balance sheet reports
Producing detailed financial reports for budget holders, and Project Managers to agreed deadlines
Assisting in the review of proposals, making recommendations where necessary
Monitoring project costs closely, investigating variances 
Providing accurate planning and forecasting of various projects 
Assisting with budget and forecast cycles
Answering queries in a timely and efficient manner 
Monitoring compliance with regards to finance procedures
Assisting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc requests

Ideally you will be actively studying towards a recognised accounting qualification, such as ACCA/CIMA/ACA and have solid financial experience, gained in a commercial environment. 

Advanced Excel skills are desirable, along with experience in budgeting, forecasting and grant funded accounting. 

You will be a commercially astute, proactive and driven individual who has significant experience within accounting at a transactional level, seeking their next challenge and increased responsibility.

This role is based in Harwell, has free on-site parking, annual leave entitlement of 28 days plus Bank Holidays, and study support will be provided for the successful applicant.
