Reed Accountancy are currently recruiting for an excellent client that is looking for a Qualified Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for any qualified accountant that is looking for their next step in towards becoming a partner at a highly reputable practice.
What does the role entail?
As a Qualified accountant you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of a portfolio. You will also have responsibility to assist and support the wider team in the office and also support with overall training. Your role will also include completion of self-assessment tax returns, co-ordination and management of payroll, statutory accounts and assess tax returns. You will also be liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients. Ideally you will have experience of offering bespoke accountancy, taxation and tax planning advice. Within your role there will be 20% of your day to day duties that will be surrounding audit. You will also be responsible for supporting team members with more complex accounting scenarios.
What Skills will I need for this role?
You will need to be either ACCA or ACA qualified for this position, ideally with management experience within a smaller practice environment. The accounting systems used in this practice us Iris, Zero and CCH. You will be responsible for a client portfolio so having excellent client exposure and experience would be very advantageous. As well as the technical skills needed to perform in the role you will be a strong communicator at all levels from entry level to senior management, be highly driven with exceptional attention to detail, possessing a positive and approachable demeanour.
