Our client, a well-established organisation based in Dublin 1 are seeking a Clerical Officer for their Head Office.

The role is based in their Conditions of Employment section so as well as administrative support it requires someone who can handle calls on a busy query line from members, has good interpersonal skills and resilience.


Temporary – 3 months, possibility of extension

Salary scale €27,901 - €41,931


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Day to day query handling – offering information and advice to members on terms and conditions of employment issues.  Demonstrate an ability to keep up to date on changes in terms and conditions of employment, display skill and diligent application in the performance
  • Participation in maintaining and developing services to members through the query line and other information sources.
  • Managing in a courteous, friendly and confidential manner, a large volume of queries on Conditions of Employment (COE) and related issues.
  • Administrative duties in the section, including preparation of documentation, presentations and materials, managing correspondence, maintaining an effective filing system, managing diaries, and arranging meetings and other events
  • Contributing to meetings of the COE Section where information and updates on current issues are shared.
  • Active involvement in maintaining the COE section of the website and ensuring that information is accurate, reliable and updated as necessary.

Skills & Attributes required

  • The successful candidate, who should be a graduate and/or to have relevant post Leaving Certificate qualification/s and/or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of conditions of employment
  • Capability to accurately explain complex material to members in confident, clear and concise terms
  • A capacity to participate in the handling of members’ queries in the conditions of employments section including the ability to write clearly and accurately
  • Demonstrate a willingness to research, learn and check accuracy
  • Flexibility and an ability to adapt to the changing requirements of the work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
