My client, a successful international fmcg business in Lancashire is looking to recruit a new Brand Marketing Manager to join their fast paced, forward thinking marketing team. Responsibilities include all aspects of running the daily business and the upstream innovation portfolio for European markets across various channels. You will be responsible for developing and managing a variety of critical brand building activities to increase brand & variant awareness, deliver innovation to consumers, and support key retailer strategies & executions.
In addition, this person will be involved in analysis, identification, and recommendations for brand expansions and growth.
Set strategy for growth and manage day to day risks and opportunities
Identify upside opportunities & recommendations
Identify risk or weak areas of the business and proactively put in place plans to address
Lead New Product Innovation planning for 3 year masterplan
Lead evaluation processes and feed into head office where appropriate
Assess business opportunities
Tailor consumer concepts for EU consumer if applicable
Regularly liaise with international counterparts on live and future projects
Work with cross-functional team to develop learning plans
Evaluate new segment/channel entry opportunities for the brands – including analysis, landscape assessment, consumer targeting, launch strategy options with a clear recommendation
Execute commercial elements of initiatives, aligning cross-functional partners and management through each stage gate
Evaluate pricing strategies
Finalise consumer proposition
Lead package design strategy & briefing
Develop launch plans and launch marketing plan recommendations that deliver against the initiative and brand objectives
Lead creative executions, from brief to live on air
Develop media objectives and strategies that fit overall brand strategies
Collaborate with Sales team to develop trade deck(s) for each major retailer 
Support European Marketing Director with implementing country specific action plans for the brand



Skills Required:
Educated to Degree level (Business/Marketing)
Must have extensive marketing, brand marketing/product marketing experience within an FMCG/Consumer Products/Healthcare sector 
Must have both ATL (TV, radio, advertising, print, internet, social media, digital marketing) & BTL (Brochures, direct mail, promotions, pos, instore displays, banners) 
Ability to manage multiple projects that vary in nature from strategic through execution
Demonstrate strong leadership skills
Strong collaborator across multiple functions & levels of the organisation.
Results-oriented approach with a willingness to bust through barriers and dive in at the detail level as needed.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Team management skills 
Strong presentation skills
Retail experience within pharmacy, grocery & mass merchandising distribution channels - personal care category experience is desirable 
GfK/Nielsen/IRI analysis experience - desirable 
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Some travel required as and when attending trade shows/exhibitions 
Salary up to £40k+Bonus
Hours - 8.30am-5pm 
25 days holiday + BH
