Fancy being part of a Global Business who operate in 50 international markets with over 300 employees worldwide and a physical presence in 34 countries. Still growing year of year they are now looking for an “Audit Manager” for their offices in Manchester. You will have a flexible approach to working hours, a clean driving license and you will be able to travel regularly when conducting an audit or project away from the office.

As the “Audit Manager” and managing a portfolio of your own clients and reporting directly to the Audit Director or Partner you will;

-Attend pre year-end meetings
-Ensure timely and accurate delivery of the audit field work
-Deliver quality accounts to the client within their timescale
-Resolve issues and potential adjustments prior to Partner involvement where possible
WIP/ Debtor control of own clients
-Deliver assignments to planned fee levels/ recover overruns
-Liaise with the Tax Department to ensure timely delivery to the client
-Take the lead in more complex audit assignments 
-Ad hoc project assignments

Staff Management
-Management of junior staff including setting objectives and appraisals as well as acting as appointed Councillor for ACCA and ICAEW students amongst other duties.
-Business Development
-Identify and sell additional services that can be delivered to the client; identify potential leads for cross-selling purposes and develop a network of contacts internally and externally.


You will either need to be Qualified ACA/ ACCA (or equivalent) OR Bachelor Degree/ Master’s Degree.
You will require a minimum of 5 years external audit experience.
You will be a team player with strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills including leading teams of 5 or above.

You will have a strong commercial background and an interest in networking/ business development, a willingness to travel nationally when required and to fulfil this role it is essential that you have a full driving license and a willingness to travel nationally and internationally as the engagements dictate.
