A business I have the pleasure of working with are looking for an Accounts Assistant.
Working Hours - Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 17:00pm, Friday 9:00am - 16:30pm.
Salary - Circa of £21,000 per annum.
You must be able to drive to access this business, free parking on site.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Answering the telephone and performing other such reasonable duties as may be requested, in a courteous manner
- Basic payroll duties
- Keep the company website up to date with testimonials and news stories
- Order ad hoc items
- Send invoices to customers on both a weekly and monthly basis
- Upload invoices onto Sage
- Process invoices via Sage and pay through online banking
- Match invoices with delivery notes
- Answer email enquiries on a daily basis
- Type all necessary letters, reports and e-mails for Head Office, using Microsoft Office
- Photocopying, Faxing, filing, pulling of records, preparing of documents and all other administration work as required
- Ensure all incoming invoices are checked, logged and collated
- Send remittances and clarify any relevant queries
- Keep diaries up to date
- Make appointments as required
- To report and record in the appropriate manner any information considered to be important
- Take responsibility for own developmental learning and performance, including participation in supervision and appraisals
- To participate in staff meetings and training where necessary
- Any other duties commensurate with the post
