Reed Accountancy Oxfordshire are delighted to be partnering with a loyal client just outside Witney for the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant to join their mid-sized Finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. As part of a diverse, friendly team with varying experience, this represents an ideal opportunity for someone with demonstrable prior practical experience and a desire to develop their career.
In brief, the responsibilities will include:
- filing and matching purchase orders using electronic system
- checking, coding, inputting and filing purchase ledger invoices
- checking and reconciling supplier statements
- resolution of supplier queries
- assisting with the production of cheque and payment runs
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have spent the last year or more within an Accounts Payable role, able to demonstrate understanding of each task, and capable of taking ownership of your role with minimal supervision. You will be comfortable working closely with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of management, alongside a select number of key suppliers.
