Are you currently studying towards your accountancy qualification with recent experience working in an accountancy practice?  Are you looking to move into a new firm that offers a refreshing, positive and flexible workplace culture?  My client based in central Norwich, are looking to add to their growing team of accountants due to a profitable last year and with the view to grow their business over the coming months.

This is an accountancy practice with a difference and would welcome like-minded individuals who want to make an impact and contribute towards a vibrant and trusting atmosphere where ideas, development and challenges are encouraged, embraced and shared.

Duties will include:

Bookkeeping

  • Liaising with clients to ensure bookkeeping data is updated into the accounting software
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Reconciliation of sales ledger account
  • Reconciliation of purchase ledger account
  • Tailoring service to individual clients

VAT

  • Liaising with client to ensure bookkeeping data is updated into the accounting software
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Submit VAT returns with HMRC 
  • Communicate VAT liability with client

Payroll (in training)

  • Setting up client payroll
  • Implement payroll adjustments
  • Run payroll
  • Submit pensions
  • Issue P45 / P60 / Payslips

Management Accounts (in training)

  • Assess entries into profit and loss account maintaining accuracy of chart of accounts
  • Assess entries in balance sheet ensuring accuracy
  • Reconcile age payables and receivables
  • Prepare prepayments, accruals and depreciation for P&Ls
  • Produce Balance Sheet and P&L for client meetings
