Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a well-established and reputable client within the construction industry in Co Tyrone, and are recruiting for an Accounting Clerk to join their team.

This is a 12 month contract that may lead to more permanent work.

The Role:

Reporting to the Company Accountant and working as part of a small team of 4 staff, the role will involve the management of a busy purchase and sales ledger where accuracy and attention to detail are of upmost importance.

More specific duties will involve:

Bank reconciliation
Sub – contractor invoicing and payments
Purchase ledger invoicing
Sales ledger invoicing
Month end supplier statement reconciliation
Processing credit card and direct debit transactions

The Person

The post holder will have 2 years experience working in fast paced accounts role with a thorough understanding of the accounts function from invoice processing to month-end close
Candidates will have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Candidates will have excellent communication skills and will be liaising with suppliers and staff internally on a daily basis
Candidates will have a good working knowledge of MS Excel and ideally COINS software
Previous construction industry experience is desirable, but not essential
