Senior Receptionist- Permanent Full-time- Dublin 4- 30k 

Our client, a superb hotel in Dublin City Centre, have a wonderful vacancy for a Senior Receptionist to join their team. The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the front office.

Job responsibilities:

• To perform to operation standards on the reception desk
• To assist in the handling of reservations
• To be aware of the business in the system and the status of all arrivals including groups and tours
• To recognise VIP and regular guests and ensure all the receptionists are also familiar with them. This applies to both in house guests and new arrivals
• To recognise sales leads and work closely with the Reception Manager and the Sales Department
• To be familiar with outside factors that may affect business
• To monitor availability and ensure yield management programme is in operation
• To have full knowledge of the hotel’s special rates and packages and ensure reception and reservations personnel are updated with any new promotions
• To do show rounds of the hotel, where necessary
• To be aware of the budget targets and to motivate staff into attaining these targets
• To assist the Finance department in dealing with guest related queries or problems
• To assist in the monitoring of the progression of staff, recognise training needs and ensure full training is given both in house and off site
• To liaise with all other departments and so help in the smooth running of the operation

Personal requirements:

• Must have Opera experience
• Previous experience in a similar role required- previous work in hotel industry is preferable
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong attention to detail 
• Experience leading a team with targets/KPIs
