Profile

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Commercial Litigation Department.
This is a great opportunity to work in a progressive professional organisation. Prior experience in a busy and demanding role is essential.


The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience with strong organisational and interpersonal skills as well as a disciplined ability to complete work, prioritise own tasks and manage time effectively. The candidate will have a positive, helpful and cheerful attitude.


The role will involve a broad range of duties including but not limited to:


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Dicta-typing and PA/secretarial duties for a number of fee earners
• Digital dictation and production of all documents, correspondence, reports and presentations, briefs, contracts, agreements, accurately and in a timely manner
• Diary management
• Excellent typing skills required at least 60+ wpm or more
• Providing a professional, efficient and proactive secretarial service at all times
• Answering phones, taking messages, logging daily calls, follow up on calls
• Keeping files up to date, scanning and photocopying
• Other ad-hoc work as required within the Litigation Department


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Prior experience in a busy commercial litigation practice essential
• Strong MS office computer skills
• Case management experience (Partner for Windows & i-manage would be a distinct advantage)
• Excellent typing skills required at least 60+ wpm or more
• Excellent administration skills and an ability to prioritise work are essential
• Ability to work on own initiative with excellent organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
• A high degree of diplomacy and professionalism required with a pleasant and positive disposition

Salary and Remuneration
The salary will be commensurate with experience. An immediate start would be ideal.
