AP & FINANCE SUPERVISOR - DUBLIN 7

 

We have a fantastic role for a Charity based in Dublin 7 – looking for a Finance Supervisor that will be managing the Accounts Payable Team.

* Ideal for someone IATI Qualified or Part Qualified ACCA/ACA and actively pursuing full qualification
** Experience required: 1 to 2 years of experience managing a busy Accounts Department

 

Duties in the role:

  • To supervise and direct the Accounts payable team
  • Daily follow up on issues within the P2P process, resolving issues as they arise in a timely manner
  • Manage the staff members to ensure that purchase orders/approvals are matched against invoices received and any issues are resolved
  • Ensure the workload is being processed so that there are no bottlenecks
  • Manage the registered invoice listing to ensure that invoices are being processed through to approved stage and ready for payment
  • Review month end reports such as the invoice register, invoice listing and parked invoices to ensure that all invoices are processed in the month end where possible.
  • Review month end creditor reconciliations
  • Maintain Tax Clearance Records
  • Manage Bank Reconciliations
  • Manage the weekly payment run and pro-forma/one off payments
  • Manage the month end close off
  • Reporting of KPI's to FA/FD
  • Actively work with the team and internal/external stakeholders to build strong working relationships
  • Demonstrate a strong Compliance oriented mindset and help build a strong compliance culture
  • Manage team resources and processes effectively to ensure a robust cross-training plan is in place
  • Maximise use of Accounting Software
  • Point of contact for IT issues
  • Point of contact for Audits
  • Participate in Service Annual Performance Review System
  • Attend training sessions as required
  • Ensure that each person with an intellectual disability is treated with the utmost respect and dignity
  • Ensure that the highest standards of confidentiality are maintained in relation to all areas of work
  • Maintain a high standard of work performance, attendance, appearance and punctuality at all times
  • Ensure that good working relationships are maintained with colleagues
  • Being aware of emergency procedures and ensure that the health and safety policy of the service is strictly adhered to
